The Holidays
It just gets busier and busier around here as the holidays approach! We are almost completely booked up for December with holiday events and concerts. It looks like it will be a lot of fun!
Aside from that, I have recently completed an arrangement of The Beatles' song, "Eleanor Rigby" which is a favorite of mine.
Our arrangement of Nimrod by Sir Edward Elgar turned out SO well and we have already enjoyed playing it. We played it at a wedding and it worked very well as part of the ceremony. Many people complimented that piece in particular so we were very pleased.
It was a difficult piece to condense for string trio because it is very texturally thick in the harmonies, but with a few (okay, a lot) of well placed chords for each of us, it works! Wonders never cease...
This weekend we hope to record some more clips so please continue to send us your requests!
Also this weekend we have two weddings in addition to two symphony concerts for which to prepare so we won't be able to do a whole lot! We will do our best though and hope to record at least Nimrod if not a few of our other new arrangements.
We are excited about the upcoming holiday season- busy as it may be, it is always a special time of year.
