Saturday's Work
This past Saturday was so busy that during our rehearsal we just decided to not attempt to record any additional clips. No one had requested any so we spent that time learning new music. It was time well-spent!
The wedding ceremony went really well Saturday evening and the drive was spectacular. The leaves up on Lookout Mountain are breathtaking!
I have still been busy arranging new music for us. Today I have just completed Waltz from "Serenade for Strings" by Tchaikovsky. This weekend I also finished the Scherzo Theme from String Quartet No. 2 in D by Alexander Borodin, the opening theme from Piano Concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky, and Theme from Jurassic Park by John Williams.
These latest arrangements have turned out really nicely which is good since they have taken a considerable amount of time and work. Reducing orchestral, piano, and quartet scores to string trio isn't always easy, but it's fun and definitely worth it!
